Shooting Sports Camp, Decatur IL
Calling all Adventurers! Looking for a different week long experience? Have an interest in Shooting Sports? Interested in getting certified in a number of different shooting sports areas? How about completing a Freedom Experience?
This camp will be educational and experiential at the same time. This group of young men will be coming together to learn, educate and certify themselves in shooting sports as well as grow together over a common interest.
What should you expect? Fun, work, laughter, friendships, a chance to grow spiritually, 17 homecooked meals, tent/hammock (bring your own) housing, solar showers, 5 shooting sports certifications – including the ammo, evening activities, archery tag, blow darts, atlatls, and the opportunity to show some “True Grit”
We are blessed to be fully staffed with Trail Life Registered Adults, and therefore an Adventurer may attend by himeself, bring some troopmates, or even gather with friends from across his region or even the nation. This camp is limited in size allowing all the Trailmen to have an immersive experience. There are also a few limited Registered Adult spots available for those dads or leaders that also wish to attend. Either way, everyone will be placed in a provisional patrol. So bring your ideas for your best skits and be ready to build a patrol.
The 5 certifications that will be available for this week long immersive experience are:
- NRA Basic Pistol
- NRA Defensive Use of Pistol
- NRA Basic Rifle
- NRA Defensive Use of Rifle
- IL State Conceal Carry (which allows for reciprocal carry to additional states)
